It's been a while

Here it is a week and a half after the last post, and I'm heading to the Golden Lamm again tomorrow evening. I'd assumed I'd go Friday with the Stammtisch, but various members have other things going on so that's a no-go. A friend wants to eat out before I leave and agreed to go to the GL. Thursday night I'll go to the Stammtisch at the Greek place as usual.

I leave in 10 days. I've been playing a lot on the weekends and having fun -- something I needed. Recently I've been to a little fest, to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (cute but. . . forgettable) and the new Indiana Jones flick (much fun). I've now watched the first two seasons of "Coupling" and can't wait to see the third, and I'm finding "Family Guy" to be rather hilarious.

I'm spending these week nights (when I'm not out eating) getting things in order.

I have one foot locker packed and will work on the second one over the next few days. I'll mail them to Iraq through the military postal system (FREE but uninsured). It's actually a pretty good system, so keep your fingers crossed that the foot lockers arrive. They'll have my linens, pillows, extra toiletries, a few books and videos in them.

I'll fly out of Munich Friday next. I'm debating how I want to get to Munich -- take the train down the afternoon before and relax in a hotel, take a shuttle or find someone to take me the 1.5-2 hours (that means leaving at about 5 a.m.). I'm used to taking care of myself and hate asking someone to do this. . .

i loved coupling ---at least the british series, not the horrid us cover. Very clever, great characters and acting.
And I must admit a fondness for russell brand, too---so i was pleased to read all the glowing Sarah Marshall reviews.

As for munich---i say go the afternoon before....just in case.
